Come for the food… if service and atmosphere is important, go somewhere else. This place is intentionally slow to make sure the kitchen does not get backed up. If you do. It like waiting, go to a restaurant that is fast, and appropriate for you,,,,, like Taco Bell. This place is about the quality of their food, and it is amazing…. The tacos are amazing, elote is great. I wish they had cerveza, but they are great for food.. go here for great food.

This place is a good little spot, not something you would expect to be so popular. Its in a quiet part of town so not much noise around. The restaurant is not too big, could probably seat 20-25 maybe. The service is great, always on top of everything, making sure you have everything. The food is unique. Not your traditional mexican style tacos. They have a different flavor profile, one thats more creamy and zesty, and juicy. Meat is cooked and seasoned to perfection. The beans are good quality. The elote is the best ive had. The corn is super juicy and flavorful. Overall a great experience, 10/10 would reccomend. Not too crazy expensive. You get what you pay for.

I'm not sure where the Bee gets off labeling this place anything other than unsanitary. While waiting for order we noticed a few things. The two kitchen entrances are on either side of the bathroom entrance, both kitchen entrances have fabrics curtains in each doorway riddled with stains. Through the curtain you can see the chicken holding refrigerator, and kitchen staff actively dripping raw chicken juice on the floor. Which is in path of the bathroom, second kitchen area, front kitchen area as well as dining area. IE the floor is covered in chicken juice.
Ok let's talk food. Char did live up to its name as the food was blackened. "Signature bone marrow plate" was full of ground bone. 27 dollars for like a tablespoon of marrow is a great deal be sure to get this, especially if you like spitting little hard bits. The beans (I may be wrong but I'm just gonna put it out there) tasted like they may have been cooked is some sort of seafood or clam stock, so if your allergic to shellfish maybe ask the worker). I would avoid asking the children staff and possibly finding an adult. The guy at the counter did mention how hard he works, multiple times. Which is probably why their health score on yelp was ... 72 ?

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G food! It’s a must try!
It’s not the typical flavor, it has a nice twist. And GUNTHER’S included in menu.

The head chef came with all the recipes based on his experiences…So we thought he did a great job bringing south American flavor and fusion it with North American flavors.

The “plate” (name of the dish) it’s well balanced, it has right amount of veggies, enough carbs and grilled protein. However, the sauce on top and the seasoning of the food it makes your taste buds dance. Not spicy, just very well balanced flavors.

Nachos are a good size plate! Same, all the ingredients are well cooked, good spices, big size - shareable- .

The place itself was nice and clean, open space with a modern style touch.
You don’t get the smoke of the grill inside the place, which makes it nice to enjoy the meal.

Nice Caribbean music, making the environment of the place cheerful.
For now they are also selling GUNTHER’S ICE CREAM! A big shout out for them, good choice for summer; that is the most delicious ice cream ever (I think it’s the best)!

Stop by and give it a try, you will not be disappointed ?

Looking forward to a dine-in experience at this restaurant. We did take out.

The shrimp taco salad was great the shrimp seasoned excellent. The crispy taco shell was sweet and crispy.

The State tacos were cooked to perfection along with the presentation of the sweeter rice and beans.

The shrimp Char plate was cooked to Perfection as well very well seasoned.

The chicken taco salad was great although they did forget to provide the taco shell.

This place is AMAZING. We got the bone marrow plats and bone marrow and steak tacos and they were phenomenal. I’m pretty sure bone marrow releases endorphins because I was on a 30 minute food high afterwards. It’s so good. We found our new spot. You cannot go wrong here and Noah is a stellar individual. Support small business and have the food of your life.

Eaten here twice and loved it both times. Not “authentic” Mexican, but amazing flavor. Staff and owners are very nice.

This place is a solid go-to. I’ve only placed pick up orders. Already ready and hot when I get there. I’m greeted with friendly smiles. We tried the bone marrow tacos, steak tacos, side grilled veggies, chicken fries, and a chicken taco salad.
Every dish explodes with flavor. This was our first time trying bone marrow. It was interesting. Everyone loved them. The grilled veggies were done perfectly.
Alllllways a pleasure picking up food here. I love the short conversations.
